Sponsored in Part by Jet Lag

If I were a resolutionin' kind of girl, I would resolve to write more regularly in this blog. As it is, I am much too lazy and predictable to make such a doomed promise, but I will, at least, post some long overdue pictures from Spain and from Paris around Christmas. Without further ado...

Granada, Spain:

Visited this awesome girl

Cats everywhere, some mangier than others

The Alhambra-- learn things

More Alhambra

The whispering chamber (entertainment potential: 10-20 minutes)

Noelish times in Paris:

Sustainable Christmas

The better part of the Champs Elysees Christmas market

The BEST (and blurriest) part of the Champs Elysees Christmas market

Turns out this tree has no base. I didn't see a wire, either, so I have to
assume it floats freely in the air.

Other:

Much to Brian's dismay, I went to Disneyland Paris (and had a magical time)

By pretending to be Irish, I was able to get into this castle for free. I felt both bad and good about this once it became clear that we were the only tourists to have visited that day, and probably also that year. The Marquis de Sade ("sadism"'s namesake) was imprisoned here, yet not even a cult following.

Anyhow, to get back to the present: new semester, new classes, new people (bittersweet), and, with any luck, new adventures. Here are some things I look forward to:
  • All of my classes, for different reasons. Bestsellers because it should be awesome/count for English credit, Cinema and Poetry Workshop because I have no idea what the hell I'm getting myself into, Political Socialization for a New Generation because it almost rhymes and because I've been dying to know more academic theories behind my father's failure to raise a Republican, and US Foreign Policy because taking foreign classes on the US has proven to be fun and potentially inflammatory.
  • Visits from my mom, dad, boy, LP, Kurt, Matt & Co.
  • Germany, Italy, Greece, the UK and who knows where else
  • Good Paris weather! Just need to make it through February and perhaps March...

  2. Haha, well if facebook withdrawal encourages you to seek entertainment in new places like my blog, then I can't say I sympathize very much. Nevertheless, you'll see if you check skype that I have transmitted the information you desire.

Because I am a good friend.
